  • Experience with WordPress page builders (e.g., Elementor, WPBakery) and frameworks.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and development workflows.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and website optimization techniques.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Experience with eCommerce platforms like WooCommerce.
  • Knowledge of REST APIs and integrating third-party services.
  • Understanding of web accessibility standards and best practices.
  • Experience with website migration and deployment processes.

Responsibilities & Context

Website Development:

  • Design, develop, and maintain WordPress websites and applications according to project requirements.
  • Customize existing themes and plugins to meet specific needs and enhance functionality.
  • Develop custom themes and plugins as needed, ensuring compatibility with WordPress updates and other plugins.
Front-End Development:
  • Implement responsive design principles to ensure websites are accessible and functional on various devices and screen sizes.
  • Use HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to create visually appealing and interactive user interfaces.
  • Optimize websites for performance, including loading speed and SEO.
Back-End Development:
  • Integrate WordPress websites with various third-party services, APIs, and data sources.
  • Develop and manage custom post types, taxonomies, and user roles.
  • Ensure data security and privacy, including secure coding practices and regular updates.
Maintenance & Support:
  • Perform regular updates and maintenance on WordPress sites, including core updates, theme updates, and plugin updates.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to WordPress sites, including bugs, compatibility issues, and performance problems.
  • Monitor website performance and make improvements as needed to enhance functionality and user experience.
Collaboration & Communication:
  • Work closely with designers, content creators, and other developers to understand project requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather feedback, provide updates, and ensure project milestones are met.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality and best practices.
Documentation:
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for WordPress sites, including setup instructions, customization details, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Document code changes, customizations, and development processes for future reference.
Continuous Learning:
  • Stay updated with the latest WordPress trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
  • Participate in relevant training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
