Must-Have:
  • Extensive knowledge of WordPress, with the ability to develop advanced features and customizations using WordPress.
  • Strong understanding of WordPress core, hooks, filters, and shortcodes.
  • 2–4 years of hands-on experience in WordPress plugin development and customization.
  • In-depth knowledge of WordPress security standards and performance optimization techniques.
  • A results-driven mindset with the ability to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to challenges.
Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, and jQuery.
  • Familiarity with WordPress coding standards and development best practices.
  • Experience integrating REST APIs and third-party services.
  • Expertise in version control systems like Git.
  • Strong skills in HTML, CSS, and responsive design principles.
  • Experience with debugging tools like Xdebug or similar.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Hands-on experience in WooCommerce plugin development.
  • Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks like React or Vue.js.
  • Experience in developing multilingual solutions using plugins such as WPML or Polylang.
  • Proven contributions to WordPress core development or publishing plugins in the WordPress repository.

Responsibilities & Context

  • Design, develop, and maintain custom WordPress plugins to address specific project requirements.
  • Customize and enhance existing plugins to optimize functionality, performance, and security.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve plugin-related issues, debug code, and ensure smooth website performance.
  • Implement innovative solutions using WordPress to meet diverse client needs effectively.
  • Collaborate with designers and developers to integrate plugins seamlessly with WordPress themes.
  • Ensure plugins remain compatible with the latest WordPress versions and adopt emerging trends and technologies in development.
  • Write clean, efficient, reusable, and well-documented code to maintain high development standards.
