• Perform Diagnostic Imaging: Operate imaging equipment, including X-rays and other diagnostic devices, to capture high-quality images for medical evaluation.
• Ensure Patient Safety: Adhere to safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure, ensuring proper use of protective shielding during procedures.
• Prepare Patients for Imaging: Explain the imaging process to patients, ensuring their comfort and correct positioning for accurate results.
• Position and Immobilize Patients: Properly align and stabilize patients for imaging exams while following safety and procedural guidelines.
• Monitor and Assist During Imaging: Supervise patients during imaging, providing necessary support to ensure clear and precise results.
• Maintain and Calibrate Equipment: Conduct regular checks, cleaning, and calibration of imaging equipment to maintain optimal functionality and image quality.
• Ensure Proper Documentation: Keep accurate records of imaging procedures, including patient details, exam types, and results for medical review.
• Follow Infection Control Protocols: Comply with hygiene and infection control standards to ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
• Collaborate with Medical Teams: Work in close coordination with doctors, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to discuss and interpret imaging findings.
• Provide Support and Care: Offer reassurance and guidance to anxious or unwell patients throughout the imaging process.
• Ensure Confidentiality: Safeguard patient information and imaging data, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations and confidentiality standards.
• Stay Updated: Continuously enhance skills and knowledge of advanced imaging technologies and techniques to improve patient care.
• Report Equipment Issues: Promptly report any technical malfunctions or issues with imaging equipment to the appropriate personnel for repair.
