Ensure timely procurement and delivery of medical and non-medical items based on departmental requirements.
Source surgical and medical consumables while ensuring quality standards and expiry requirements.

Context:
As an Ophthalmologist, you will diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of eye conditions and vision disorders. Your responsibilities include performing ophthalmic surgeries such as cataract, glaucoma, and squint procedures, treating eye injuries and infectious eye diseases, and providing comprehensive care to both outpatient and admitted (indoor) patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and assess patients to establish accurate diagnoses.
Perform ophthalmic surgical procedures, including cataract, glaucoma, and other eye-related surgeries.
Carry out ward rounds for admitted patients when required, noting that most ophthalmic procedures are performed as day-care surgeries.
Operate and maintain specialized ophthalmic equipment, including ophthalmoscopes, slit lamps, and other diagnostic instruments.
Provide clear medical advice, counseling, and reassurance to patients and their families.
Educate patients about their eye conditions, treatment options, postoperative care, and preventive measures.
Complete and maintain legal and medical documentation, including certification for patients who are blind or partially sighted, in accordance with applicable regulations.
Participate in health promotion, vision screening, and disease prevention initiatives to improve community eye health.
