Peoples Leasing and Financial Services Limited

People’s Leasing and Financial Services Limited (PLFS) is a financial institution established under the Financial Institutions Act, 1993. The company was incorporated as a Public Limited Company under the Companies Act, 1994 on August 12, 1996.

People’s Leasing and Financial Services Limited obtained its license from Bangladesh Bank on November 24, 1997 to operate lease finance business in Bangladesh.

The company’s authorized capital is Tk. 500 million, divided into 50 million ordinary shares of Tk. 10 each. As of September 30, 2017, its paid-up capital stood at Tk. 285 million, fully subscribed by the sponsors.

Through its lease finance services, the organization plays a role in supporting investment, asset financing, and financial services within the country’s non-banking financial sector.
