Senior Project Engineer (Cost Control)

Review and verify quantity calculation sheets prepared by project sites against approved BOQs to ensure accuracy, compliance, and effective cost control. Evaluate site material requisitions and enter approved requirements into the ERP system to facilitate procurement and project execution. Analyze inventory reports and ERP data to determine minimum material requirements, ensuring smooth project operations while reducing excess stock and unnecessary costs. Coordinate with project teams to review, justify, and negotiate material wastage percentages and ensure proper material allocation. Verify material quantities, unit prices, and budget allocations against procurement requirements to maintain compliance with approved project budgets. Review monthly material consumption reports to identify abnormal usage, variances, and potential cost-control concerns, and recommend corrective measures. Monitor inventory levels and work with project teams to maximize the reuse of available hardware, materials, and project assets, minimizing unnecessary purchases. Review and validate refund sheets submitted by CSD to confirm returned material quantities and prevent excess material issuance to customers. Ensure proper management approval or acknowledgement for any expenditure exceeding the approved project budget. Collect and consolidate monthly material consumption data from project sites and prepare detailed reports for management review. Prepare and regularly update the Cost Control COP-listed Material Vetting & Update Schedule based on iWBS reports, along with monthly COP-listed material update summaries. Systematically organize, scan, and maintain test reports, approved drawings, agreements, and other project documents on the designated server for easy access and audit purposes. Maintain accurate records of management approvals and acknowledgements related to expenditures exceeding approved budgets. Conduct site inspections and physical verification of high-value and COP-listed materials to validate quantities and ensure consistency with project records. Conduct site visits when required to verify completed and ongoing work against approved drawings, design requirements, and project specifications.
