Age should be between 40 and 50 years, with at least 15 years of experience in commercial operations, including 3 years in a GM role within a reputed large export-oriented group of companies. The candidate must have strong professional relationships with Bangladesh Bank, the Ministry of Commerce, EPB, and other government bodies to ensure smooth execution of responsibilities. A solid understanding of international and local import-export laws is essential, along with proven leadership and coordination abilities.
The role requires excellent proficiency in English communication (both written and spoken), strong computer skills (MS Office, email, etc.), and a sincere, self-motivated, and results-driven approach.
We are seeking a seasoned and results-driven Assistant General Manager (AGM) – Commercial to oversee and lead our commercial operations. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in import, export, customs, shipping, and banking activities within a large-scale manufacturing industry or group of companies.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, supervise, and monitor all functions of the commercial department.
Ensure smooth execution of export-import operations by guiding and supporting team members.
Oversee timely opening of LCs in line with company policies.
Ensure accurate preparation of export documents for submission to banks, C&F, BGMEA, EPB, Bond, BOI, and Customs.
Track and monitor all stages of imports and exports, including customs clearance and payment follow-up.
Handle trade finance activities efficiently.
Communicate with buyers to resolve issues and expedite payment processes.
Review commercial MIS reports, take necessary actions, and submit periodic reports on import and export activities to management.
Provide shipment programs to C&F agents in line with import consignments and export schedules, ensuring proper documentation.
Maintain strong liaison with banks, shipping lines, forwarding agents, BGMEA, BKMEA, and other relevant authorities regarding export-import documentation.
