Responsibilities & Context

Accounting & Financial Management

  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date financial records.

  • Manage accounts payable and receivable efficiently.

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

  • Monitor costs and support financial planning for the organization.

  • Assist in creating financial forecasts and budgets.

Taxation & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with income tax, VAT, and other regulations.

  • Prepare and submit tax returns, VAT reports, and financial statements on time.

  • Stay updated on tax policies, deductions, exemptions, and requirements.

  • Provide strategies for tax planning to minimize liabilities.

  • Support audit preparation and timely tax filing.

Auditing & Internal Control

  • Assist in internal and external audits with necessary documentation.

  • Implement financial controls to reduce risks.

  • Ensure compliance with financial laws, regulations, and standards.

  • Conduct financial analysis and reporting to aid decision-making.

Payroll & Bookkeeping

  • Oversee salary disbursements, provident fund contributions, and payroll taxes.

  • Maintain accurate payroll records.

  • Ensure adherence to labor laws and salary structures.

  • Manage ledger entries and bank reconciliations.

Accounting Systems & Process Improvement

  • Implement modern accounting software and digital tools.

  • Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency.

  • Ensure proper documentation and secure financial record-keeping.

Business Strategy & Advisory

  • Advise on financial risks, cash flow, and cost-saving strategies.

  • Collaborate with management on financial policies and business planning.

  • Assist in investment decisions and guide junior accounting staff.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, Xero, etc.).

  • Strong Excel, financial modeling, and spreadsheet skills.

  • Familiarity with Bangladesh tax laws, VAT, and financial regulations.

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Attention to detail with high accuracy.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • High ethical standards and integrity in reporting.
