Accurately prepare and file the monthly VAT return (Mushak-9.1) within the required deadline.
Ensure all VAT-related books and records—including Mushak-6.1, 6.2, 6.3, 6.5, 6.6, etc.—are properly maintained.
Oversee VAT Deduction at Source (VDS) processes and ensure timely payment to the government treasury.
Reconcile VAT accounts monthly with the company’s general ledger and financial reports.
Calculate VAT correctly on all sales, purchases, and expenses, applying the appropriate rates.
Serve as the key liaison with VAT authorities and represent the company during audits and inspections.
Prepare relevant documentation and responses to queries from VAT and Tax Authorities.
Offer expert guidance on VAT-related impacts for new projects, contracts, and procurement decisions.
Stay informed about updates to the VAT and Supplementary Duty Act, 2012, along with relevant SROs.
Design and implement internal procedures to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of VAT compliance.
Provide training and support to junior team members and other departments on VAT matters.
