Additional Requirements
At least 2 years of experience in drafting and reviewing commercial legal documents, preferably within development, financial, or business organizations, or law firms specializing in commercial law.
Proficient computer skills and strong communication abilities in both Bangla and English (speaking, reading, and writing).
Ability to identify legal issues and propose alternative solutions.
Skilled in evaluating and mitigating legal, regulatory, reputational, and ethical risks.
Capable of independently updating legal knowledge and maintaining networks within the legal community.
Thorough understanding of the legal system in Bangladesh, including litigation, dispute resolution, and available remedies.
Knowledgeable about sources of laws and regulations, legal research techniques, and statutory interpretation.
Demonstrates accountability, reliability, strong self-management, analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective research capabilities.
Draft, review, and provide legal opinions on various legal documents such as agreements, contracts, and MoUs, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and internal policies while minimizing legal risks and exposure.
Conduct thorough legal research, prepare legal memoranda, and offer advice on laws, claims, employment matters, and internal organizational issues, identifying potential risks and suggesting mitigation strategies.
Manage other departmental tasks including handling ongoing or potential litigation, maintaining the case management database, and supporting compliance activities.
Visit field offices, branches, courts, tribunals, government offices, law chambers, and other relevant venues as required.
Facilitate communication between Head Office and Field Office teams regarding assigned responsibilities and tasks.
Provide timely reports on legal services and activities as requested by supervisors or department heads.
Ensure adherence to organizational policies and procedures in all legal matters.
Maintain strict confidentiality when handling, sharing, and storing sensitive information and documents.
Perform any additional duties assigned by supervisors or the department from time to time.
Ensure the protection and safety of program participants, stakeholders, and team members from harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation, including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA), to uphold safeguarding objectives.
Serve as a primary resource for safeguarding support, guidance, and expertise to foster a safe working environment.
Promote, practice, and uphold safeguarding policies among team members, ensuring compliance with safeguarding standards throughout all activities.
Follow established safeguarding reporting protocols for any reportable incidents and encourage others to report concerns promptly.
