  • A minimum of 5–6 years of progressively responsible experience in communication, preferably within development or public health-related programs.

  • Demonstrated expertise in content development, editing, and publishing across print, digital, and multimedia formats.

  • Practical experience managing social media platforms and website content using CMS tools such as WordPress or Joomla.

  • Prior experience working with international NGOs, development partners, and government agencies is highly preferred.

  • Proficiency in both Bengali and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages.

  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Solid understanding of communication strategies, media production, and dissemination techniques.

  • Strong creative thinking, innovation, and initiative.

  • High attention to detail, accountability, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a dynamic environment.

  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a multidisciplinary team.

  • A strong commitment to ethical practices and adherence to safeguarding standards.


Responsibilities & Context

The Centre for Injury Prevention and Research, Bangladesh (CIPRB) is a leading public health research organization dedicated to injury prevention, health promotion, and community development through evidence-based approaches. We are currently seeking applications from qualified and experienced candidates for the role of Communication Manager to support the organization’s communication efforts related to injury prevention programs and drowning prevention initiatives in partnership with the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI), UK.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Communication & Coordination

  • Lead and coordinate internal and external communication strategies in alignment with organizational goals and donor requirements.

  • Develop and execute communication plans to enhance visibility, outreach, and advocacy.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to create, review, and distribute communication materials and updates.

Content Development & Media Relations

  • Craft key messages, newsletters, and storytelling content alongside the project team.

  • Prepare, edit, and finalize reports, brochures, IEC materials, and advocacy documents.

  • Write case studies, press releases, and feature articles to highlight project achievements, success stories, and lessons learned.

  • Coordinate with media outlets and creative vendors for the production and distribution of communication materials.

Digital and Social Media Management

  • Manage and update the organization’s website and social media channels (Facebook, Twitter/X) regularly.

  • Track digital engagement metrics to optimize content strategies.

  • Provide technical support for online campaigns and virtual events.

Events, Campaigns & Public Relations

  • Organize and participate in awareness campaigns, community events, training sessions, workshops, and press briefings.

  • Foster and maintain relationships with media representatives, government officials, and development partners.

  • Represent CIPRB at national and international platforms as required.

Monitoring, Evaluation & Innovation

  • Ensure quality assurance for all communication outputs.

  • Monitor media coverage and analyze public perceptions.

  • Explore and implement innovative communication methods, including multimedia content, to boost visibility.

Other Benefits


Contract Duration: Initially offered for one year, including a three-month probationary period. Extension of the contract will depend on performance and availability of funding.

Salary: Competitive and negotiable, commensurate with experience and aligned with the organization’s HR policy.
