  • Should have adequate knowledge on Terms and Conditions of L/C, Customs Tariff, vast knowledge on HS Code, Customs Duty Calculation, Knowledge of UD, SRO, Customs ACT, Bangladesh Bank Guidelines, Import Policy, Insurance, P/I, Shipping Documents, Export Sales Contract/Master L/C, and other related laws applicable for import.
  • Must be capable of handling import clearance independently.
  • Have sound knowledge about entire Import Procedures (including LC-BTB, Cash, Local and Foreign, TT and RTGS)
  • Should have sound knowledge on the Import Clearing Process under L/C, TT, and FOC and dealing with Suppliers, Banks, C&F, Forwarders, and Transport providers and releasing the materials on time.
  • Must have knowledge in English and Bangla typing at average speed.
  • Highly efficient in computer literacy (MS Word, Sound Knowledge on advanced level Excel, PowerPoint), Computer Program and Presentation Work.
  • Different types of Software’s (Oracle, TMS Knowledge).

Responsibilities & Context

  • Ensure timely issuance of Letters of Credit (L/C) in alignment with contract terms and shipment schedules.
  • Maintain full compliance with local and international trade regulations, including adherence to the Customs Act and other relevant legal frameworks.
  • Independently manage all banking procedures related to L/C issuance, including documentation endorsement, acceptance, retirement, and shipping guarantees.
  • Maintain and regularly update the MIS (Management Information System) database to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of all commercial and financial activities.
