Responsibilities & Context
Beneficiary and Site Selection (20%)
-
Select appropriate beneficiaries and sites following IR principles and guidelines.
-
Assist and conduct door-to-door household surveys to identify the most vulnerable beneficiaries in Ukhiya.
-
Organize and facilitate FGDs, KIIs, transit work, and observations with stakeholders and communities.
-
Support assessments like PDM, KAP surveys, and KIIs as required.
-
Help identify suitable locations for shelter activities in FDMN camps and host communities in Ukhiya.
-
Monitor daily attendance of casual laborers and approved volunteers involved in shelter activities.
-
Prepare beneficiary lists, muster rolls, and distribution records.
-
Maintain close communication with community leaders, SMS, health and shelter teams, and other actors.
-
Manage casual labor for EVI shelter construction in camps.
-
Collect eligibility lists for regular shelter and NFI kit distributions.
-
Form community volunteer groups such as lead volunteers, HP groups, and CDGs.
-
Supervise beneficiary identification based on fixed selection criteria and IR methodology.

Finalize beneficiary lists with endorsements and validation from relevant authorities.
Project Intervention Monitoring (20%)
-
Monitor hardware activities according to checklists.
-
Ensure inclusive shelter assistance.
-
Conduct periodic post-distribution monitoring for shelter and NFI kits.
-
Prepare individual work plans aligned with project activities.
-
Supervise construction at beneficiary sites.
-
Ensure adherence to PSEA, safeguarding, and CFRM policies.
-
Develop and execute business plans at the community level.
-
Maintain hardware monitoring checklists.
-
Demonstrate capacity for construction site monitoring and quality control.
-
Ensure construction quality aligns with drawings, designs, and guidelines.
-
Follow work plans to maintain quality standards.
-
Adhere to organizational guidelines and supervisor instructions.
-
Oversee and monitor all project stages.
Quality Construction and Installation (30%)
-
Assist in selecting suitable construction sites.
-
Prepare daily receive and delivery notes on-site.
-
Plan construction activities according to project needs.
-
Interpret AutoCAD drawings and designs.
-
Manage shelter infrastructure construction such as permanent, mid-term, repairs, and transitional shelters.
-
Support construction work for EVI households in Ukhiya camps and host communities.
-
Verify material quality and construction standards.
-
Implement activities according to technical specifications.
-
Identify feasible shelter facility sites.
-
Facilitate capacity-building and TSA training for beneficiaries and volunteers.
-
Prepare and verify bills and vouchers (Post Monitoring Report).
-
Conduct technical and environmental surveys as required.
-
Develop IEC & BCC materials related to shelter activities.
Networking and Coordination (15%)
-
Assist in organizing inception meetings at various levels.
-
Conduct orientations and training to build working relationships.
-
Form project implementation committees.
-
Ensure NOCs are obtained after scheme selections with stakeholders.
-
Participate in shelter sector and CiC coordination meetings in FDMN camps and host communities.
-
Engage project teams actively in implementation.
-
Coordinate and network with key stakeholders.
-
Attend personal development training, orientations, and workshops.
Project Reporting and Documentation (10%)
-
Submit monthly activity reports to SMSD, CMO, sector teams, and partner agencies.
-
Collect completion reports, case studies, and media materials as needed.
-
Provide required documentation to shelter focal points and agencies.
-
Submit weekly activity plans to the line manager.
-
Report challenges during activities and propose solutions.
-
Support procurement processes including requisitions and quotation collection.
Other Duties (5%)
-
Participate in seasonal programs like winterization, Ramadan, Eid, and Qurbani.
-
Propose methodologies based on the proposal and organizational learnings.
-
Perform additional tasks assigned by the supervisor as per program needs and organizational policies.
-
Support community mobilization efforts.
-
Ensure project visibility.
-
Maintain complaint response and feedback mechanisms at the field level.
