Additional Requirements

Age: 25 to 40 years
Experience working with INGOs, NGOs, or development agency–supported projects.
Proficient in finance, administration, logistics, budgeting, bank reconciliation, and ledger maintenance.
Skilled in preparing financial reports, monitoring fund flows, and ensuring donor compliance.
Experienced in online accounting systems, with specialized knowledge of Tally ERP9, Tally Prime, and other ERP software.
Strong computer skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Knowledgeable in VAT and tax compliance and office administration across diverse organizations.
Work experience in Cox’s Bazar is preferred.
Fluent in English and Bangla; familiarity with the Rohingya/Chittagonian dialect is an advantage.


Responsibilities & Context

Transforming Humanitarian Energy Access (THEA)

The contract is valid until September 30, 2026.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with the Project Coordinator to monitor fund management activities.

  • Prepare and maintain spreadsheets and subsidiary records for all payments.

  • Process and verify volunteer payments, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely adjustments.

  • Prepare monthly and periodic financial statements for the organization and donors.

  • Monitor and manage IT and VAT deductions, deposit payments, and issue certificates to suppliers/service providers.

  • Review and recommend payment vouchers and cheques, overseeing daily banking and fund operations.

  • Manage petty cash, prepare weekly reports, and process reimbursements as required.

  • Issue receipts for payments received via cash, cheque, or bank transfer.

  • Conduct bank reconciliations for all accounts and provide daily/weekly reports on balances and outstanding cheques.

  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of procured items according to work orders and specifications, performing quality checks to avoid delays or compromises.

  • Prepare purchase/work orders with all necessary documentation (PR, RFQ, CBA, PO, GRN, Note for Record, etc.) and submit to the procurement committee for approval.

  • Compile monthly Receipt and Payment Statements and other financial reports as required by NGO Forum’s Central Accounts section.

  • Support the preparation and maintenance of correspondence, relevant documents, HR files, and reports.
