  • Solid expertise in export-import finance, international banking, and manufacturing accounts management.

  • Hands-on experience in Export-Import Loan Management, Finance & Accounts, Financial Reporting, International Banking, and Taxation (VAT, Customs Duty, Income Tax).

  • Demonstrated leadership and team supervision abilities.

  • Proficient in ERP-based accounting systems.

  • Strong understanding of financial regulations, taxation, VAT, and compliance requirements.

  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • High level of integrity, accountability, and professionalism.

  • Skilled in MS Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

  • Must be willing to visit the factory weekly or as instructed by management.

 
 

Responsibilities & Context

Job Context:

Israq Spinning Mills Ltd., a reputed organization in the textile industry, is seeking a dynamic, experienced, and results-driven professional to join as AGM (Accounts & Finance) at its Head Office in Gulshan-2, Dhaka. The selected candidate will oversee the company’s financial management, strategic planning, and compliance functions.

This position requires strong leadership in managing overall financial operations, export-import transactions, banking, budgeting, and audit-related activities. The incumbent will work closely with senior management to ensure accurate financial reporting, efficient control systems, and sustainable business growth aligned with organizational goals.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; ensure timely submission to management.

  • Supervise regular bank and cash book reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy and compliance.

  • Develop, implement, and periodically review financial policies, procedures, and SOPs aligned with company objectives.

  • Direct and mentor the Accounts & Finance team to ensure efficient and error-free operations.

  • Monitor financial performance using ERP systems and provide analytical insights to aid strategic decisions.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact with top management for financial strategy and decision-making.

  • Prepare detailed financial and management reports supporting various departments.

  • Manage accounts receivable and payable efficiently through ERP systems.

  • Coordinate with factory and production units to verify accounting and operational data.

  • Oversee payroll functions including salary processing, verification, and settlements.

  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of month-end closings, schedules, and payment activities.

  • Assist in preparing annual budgets, long-term financial forecasts, and strategic financial plans.

  • Set performance goals for finance team members and monitor their progress for continuous improvement.

  • Maintain buyer- and party-wise ledgers with proper reconciliation and discrepancy resolution.

  • Possess solid expertise in international banking, trade finance, and document compliance.

  • Handle all export/import operations including Master L/C, BTB L/C, shipment follow-ups, and realization processes.

  • Ensure full compliance with VAT, Tax, Customs, and other statutory regulations.

  • Lead audit preparations and coordinate with internal and external auditors for financial transparency.

  • Supervise TDS and VDS calculations and ensure timely submission of required reports.

  • Maintain export-related MIS reports, bill submissions, realizations, and outstanding tracking.

  • Collaborate with Commercial, Marketing, Merchandising, Purchase, and Store departments for smooth operations.

  • Strengthen and enhance internal control systems across financial functions.

  • Keep organized, accessible financial records and banking documentation.

  • Manage various financial instruments including EDF, OD, LATR, Term Loans, OBU, LIBOR, SOFR, UPASS, and PARIPASSU facilities.

  • Ensure effective use of accounting software (ERP) and maintain data integrity.

  • Perform any additional finance or strategic duties assigned by the Management.
