Detect both sudden and subtle changes in a patient’s condition.
Perform basic bedside diagnostic tests as needed.
Accurately maintain and update patient records.
Assist physicians with physical assessments and in delivering treatments.
Monitor vital signs and ensure the proper functioning of medical devices like feeding tubes, ventilators, catheters, and other life-support systems.
Address patients’ overall needs, including feeding, hygiene, grooming, dressing changes, medication administration, and ensuring comfort.
Work effectively with fellow nurses and nursing assistants, particularly in the ICU, providing clear instructions and leadership for routine procedures.
Offer support and education to patients' families by answering questions and providing essential caregiving guidance.
