Analyze tissue, fluid, and cell samples across histopathology, cytology, and clinical pathology to detect disease patterns and deliver accurate diagnoses.
Review and authorize pathology reports, ensuring the use of precise medical language and clinically relevant findings.
Work collaboratively with clinicians and multidisciplinary teams (MDTs) to support evidence-based treatment decisions, particularly for oncological and complex cases.
Oversee laboratory operations, ensuring strict adherence to quality control, accuracy, and safety protocols.
Conduct and interpret specialized diagnostic procedures, including immunohistochemistry (IHC), molecular diagnostics (e.g., PCR), and hematology tests.
Participate in autopsy procedures (when required) and prepare associated medicolegal documentation.
Mentor and provide guidance to junior doctors, medical technologists, and interns in the pathology department.
Stay informed about the latest developments in diagnostic techniques and ensure compliance with national and institutional healthcare standards.
Engage in academic activities, contribute to clinical research, and take part in case discussions within the hospital or affiliated medical college.
