A minimum of 8 to 12 years of professional legal experience, preferably with significant involvement in the banking or financial services sector.
Proven ability to lead litigation strategies, ensure legal and regulatory compliance, and manage relationships with regulatory bodies.
In-depth understanding of Bangladesh's legal system, including banking laws, contract and corporate laws, governance standards, and dispute resolution procedures.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication abilities and the capacity to make sound judgments in complex situations.
Experience in leading and managing a large legal team, with a track record of delivering measurable outcomes, will be an added advantage.
Oversee all legal operations of the Bank, including litigation, disputes, and case strategy.
Review and validate contracts, deeds, and legal documents to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
Manage and evaluate the performance of external legal panels and ensure timely support for legal matters across branches.
Represent the Bank’s legal interests by maintaining active communication with courts, regulatory authorities, and enforcement bodies.
Advise and support recovery teams to legally manage loan defaults and asset recovery processes.
Provide strategic legal advice to senior management and the Board on regulatory, litigation, and operational issues.
Develop and lead a high-performing legal team capable of handling complex and high-stakes legal matters.
