  • Good product knowledge and sourcing process skill is a requisite.
  • Must have a deep knowledge of all kinds of fabrics & accessories pricing and quality.
  • Strong knowledge about yarn, fabric, Garment, washing, printing and embroidery.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Result oriented and self-driven with strong focus on deadlines.
  • Excellent communication (written/verbal) & presentation skills.
  • Self-driven to work under pressure and self-motivated to take new initiatives.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Sound knowledge in the MS office.

Responsibilities & Context

  • Buyer Development & Market Expansion:
  • Identify new buyer opportunities and explore emerging markets to expand business reach.
  • Promote the company's production capabilities, strengths, and capacity to potential clients to secure new business opportunities.
  • Product Development & Sourcing:
  • Coordinate new product development based on buyer designs, tech packs, and concepts.
  • Source fabrics, trims, and accessories in alignment with buyer specifications and quality standards.
  • Develop detailed tech packs and manage the sample approval process, including proto, fit, size set, and pre-production samples.
  • Costing & Pricing:
  • Prepare comprehensive product cost sheets, considering all elements of production and supply.
  • Monitor market trends in fabric and accessory pricing to offer competitive and profitable quotations.
  • Negotiate prices with both buyers and vendors to maintain profit margins while meeting buyer expectations.
  • Order Management:
  • Oversee the entire order lifecycle—from sampling and product development to final order confirmation.
  • Ensure that all sampling and approvals are completed within buyer deadlines.
  • Maintain accurate records related to costing, buyer approvals, purchase orders, and shipment status.
  • Supplier & Production Coordination:
  • Work closely with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and adherence to quality standards.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to align production timelines with order commitments.
  • Reporting & Documentation:
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports for senior management, outlining buyer performance, order progress, and potential risks or delays.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the management, contributing to overall departmental and organizational goals.
