A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in finance, including at least 3 years in a senior officer-level role.
Prior involvement in financial management within large-scale emergency response settings.
Background in working with international non-governmental organizations (INGOs).
Familiarity with donor regulations and hands-on experience managing grants from key emergency donors, including expertise in budgeting, compliance, eligibility criteria, and reporting processes.
Proven experience in mentoring and building the capacity of team members.
Strong analytical skills and a high level of attention to detail.
Skilled in using digital tools and office applications such as Microsoft Word, advanced Excel, Outlook, internet browsers, and financial software systems.
Culturally sensitive with the ability to quickly establish rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Patient, adaptable, and flexible, with the ability to respond effectively under pressure and communicate clearly in dynamic environments.
Excellent organizational, planning, and coordination abilities, capable of managing a complex workload with varied and challenging responsibilities.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, along with effective interpersonal abilities and experience leading multicultural teams.

Position Overview
The Senior Officer – Finance will play a key role in supporting financial operations in alignment with Save the Children’s policies and procedures. Based in the Cox’s Bazar Area Office, this position will help ensure strong financial systems are in place to effectively support both programme and management teams. Responsibilities include coordinating with relevant departments during implementation planning, reviewing consolidated budgets for foreign donations, and conducting ratio calculations in collaboration with programme managers. The role will also contribute to proposal budgeting, preparation of financial reports, development of the master budget, and conducting funding gap analyses.
