Additional Requirements

  • Strong understanding of IIA Standards, applicable laws and regulations, risk management, compliance, finance, and accounting.

  • Proficient in auditing with solid IT skills and effective communication abilities.

  • Demonstrated capability in analytical thinking, problem-solving, and negotiation.

  • At least 1 year of experience in Internal Audit, Compliance, Accounting, Finance, and regulatory frameworks, preferably within NGOs, MFIs, or large corporate organizations.


Responsibilities & Context

Job Purpose
Responsible for conducting risk-based internal audits across BRAC programmes and entities to ensure compliance, accountability, and strengthened internal control systems. The role is based at the divisional level and requires frequent field visits. This is a one-year contractual position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute audits in line with the Monthly Audit Schedule and Annual Internal Audit Plan, delivering clear, timely, and practical audit observations and recommendations.

  • Maintain quality in audit reporting by engaging with management through discussions, meetings, and accurate documentation.

  • Ensure proper and timely documentation of audit findings.

  • Support report reviews, prepare MIS reports, and resolve pending responses within deadlines.

  • Collaborate with different divisions and sections to ensure effective execution of the Annual Internal Audit Plan.

  • Coordinate with programmes and departments on audit matters, including circular updates throughout the year.

Safeguarding Responsibilities

  • Protect programme participants, stakeholders, and colleagues from harm, abuse, harassment, exploitation, and sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) while ensuring a safe working environment.

  • Promote and integrate safeguarding policies and standards into all activities and encourage team members to uphold these practices.

  • Follow established safeguarding reporting procedures for any reportable incident and motivate others to do the same.
