The Senior Project Officer, Vocational Training will facilitate formal and center-based Electrical Installation and Maintenance training for selected Host and Rohingya youths, adhering to approved training modules. This role will support the effective implementation of daily project activities in host communities and camps, ensuring alignment with project proposals and plans.

• Facilitate skills training sessions at training centers following approved modules.

• Develop training delivery plans, session plans, job sheets, progress reports, information sheets, and observation checklists as required.

• Support operational management of center-based skills training programs in Electrical Installation and Maintenance.

• Ensure timely availability of course materials, competency-based learning materials (CBLMs), and other necessary supplies at training centers.

• Conduct practical training sessions, enabling participants to gain hands-on skills aligned with the training modules.

• Ensure training quality and participant learning to facilitate successful course completion and certification.

• Assist the Specialist - Vocational Training with technical content development, instructional methods, center upkeep, and necessary repairs and maintenance.

• Maintain accurate documentation and records of training participants.

• Implement Community Feedback and Response Mechanism (CFRM) activities.

• Conduct weekly safeguarding, Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA), and CFRM awareness sessions for participants.

• Support volunteer recruitment for skills centers.

• Inspire participants to develop clear goals for post-training employment and income generation opportunities.

• Coordinate with the Specialist - Vocational Training and Project Officer - Market Linkage to facilitate monthly payments to volunteers, participants, and laborers.

• Supervise volunteers at the skills centers.

• Continuously monitor training courses to identify challenges and gaps and recommend solutions.

• Promote and share best practices in livelihood activities and appropriate technologies among beneficiaries for income generation.

• Serve as a technical expert on Electrical Installation and Maintenance, providing guidance to Assistant Project Officers.

• Prepare and submit daily and weekly reports as required by BRAC and donor agencies.

• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with community members and stakeholders.

• Represent BRAC in coordination meetings and forums with government agencies, the UN, NGOs, and other partners.

• Contribute to the project’s monitoring and evaluation system, ensuring regular data collection and integration of learnings into project management and decision-making processes.

• Perform any additional tasks assigned by the supervisor or management.

• Ensure the safety and protection of programme participants, staff, and community members from harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation, including sexual exploitation and abuse, in line with BRAC’s safeguarding policies.

• Promote and uphold safeguarding practices within the team and ensure implementation of safeguarding standards in all activities.

• Adhere to safeguarding reporting procedures in the event of any reportable incidents and encourage team members to do the same.
