Job Summary / Context:

The Site Engineer is responsible for overseeing and following up on all aspects of construction activities. They play a crucial role in ensuring projects are executed successfully by combining technical knowledge with management skills. Their goal is to ensure that work is completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with quality standards. The Site Engineer also serves as a key point of communication, coordinating with contractors and other professionals to ensure smooth project execution.

Key Responsibilities / Duties:

• Manage day-to-day construction operations on-site and provide technical guidance to the assigned developer or structural company to help execute their detailed work schedules effectively.

• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor daily progress, identify potential hazards, and ensure adherence to safety regulations.

• Ensure construction activities follow the approved design plans, including structural and master layout plans, and guide the construction company in implementing them accurately.

• Coordinate and maintain communication with contractors and other stakeholders to facilitate collaboration and resolve on-site challenges.

• Identify and arrange for required materials and tools, ensuring all resources meet quality standards. This includes managing stock levels and ensuring availability when needed.

• Maintain thorough project documentation, including records of progress, changes, and issues that arise, which is essential for accountability and future reference.

• Support cost control efforts by assessing project needs and recommending improvements, including optimizing resource usage and introducing cost-saving measures.
