Excellent communication skills in both Bangla and English (written and verbal). Fluency in Chittagong is desirable.

Responsibilities & Context
Breaking the Silence is a non-profit, voluntary organization registered with the Department of Social Services (Registration No. 05037, Date: 17 September 2000) and NGOAB (Registration No. 1642, Date: 20 May 2001). The organization works to establish child rights, prevent child abuse and child sexual abuse, prevent child marriage, accelerate child-friendly good governance, improve the quality of education at the primary and pre-primary level, prevent violence against women, empowering children and women. The organization is going to implement a project "Providing quality humanitarian & development assistance to minimize Child Protection, SGBV risks and Building Peace in Cox’s Bazar Area" at Ukhiya and Cox’s Sadar in Cox’s Bazar District. The project will be implemented by the support of Save the Children. BTS is going to recruit a ‘Skill Development Officer’ for the mentioned project and the position’s desk office will be at Cox’s Bazar Sadar.

Job Description / Responsibilities:
Coordination & Communication:
- Coordinate with field facilitators, instructors/ trainers, and community stakeholders to ensure smooth training delivery.
- Coordination, liaison & networking with government department especially with the department of Agriculture, Youth, Skills development, local elected bodies, public and privet sectors.
- Maintain close coordination with the Camp-in-Charge (CiC) and other relevant stakeholders within the camp to ensure smooth implementation of project activities
- Regular visit at project sites/location both host Cox’s Bazar and Camp under Ukhiya Upazila
- Assist program staffs in implementing project activities, ensuring adherence to technical standards, learning and good practices.
Project Implementation:
- Support the team to select the project participants following the selection guidelines.
- Organize and facilitate technical training, life skills sessions, and leadership development programs.
- Support logistics for job fairs, enterprise fairs, and sensitization events.
- Identify participants for various sessions and ensure inclusive participation.
- Support roll-out of cash and input support distribution to selected youth of host and camp community
- Facilitate to establish a community based, youth-led training center in which young women have leadership roles.
- Facilitate to establish youth innovation lab through design thinking and ideation to support the creation and incubation of new businesses that respond to the needs of the community.
Technical Support to Strengthen FSL, TVET & Job Linkage:
- Assist in team members to implement market-driven trades and organizing relevant training.
- Facilitate linkages with employers for internships/ apprenticeships.
- Provide support to Facilitators and Camp Volunteers in monitoring homestead gardening activities at the household level
- Support peer group formation and capacity-building of youth leaders including host and camp community.
- Assist in enterprise mentoring and follow-up support.
Finance and Administrative:
- Maintain compliance, rules and regulations (financial and administrative) of organization.
- Support to Accounts and Admin section in financial and logistics management.
- Maintain records of training attendance, session materials, and logistics.
- Ensure timely settlement of training-related expenses.
- Ensure assets and equipment used for training are maintained and recorded.
Monitoring & Evaluation:
- Collect pre/post-training assessments and feedback from participants.
- Track progress of trainees through follow-up visits and communication.
- Work with MEAL team to ensure timely data collection and analysis.
- Support verification of beneficiaries for seed money or cash support.
- Maintain and update project trackers and training databases.
- Ensure that all components of the project is monitored and the results are evaluated in line with the indicators.
Reporting & Documentation:
- Assist to prepare monthly, quarterly, half annual, and annual and project completion report of the project.
- Contribute to success stories and case studies.
- Document issues, risks, and lessons learned from the field.
- Ensure quality of process and learning documentation.
Others:
- Be able and willing to respond to natural disasters or emergencies, when needed, and any other task assigned by the Supervisor and /or Senior Management of BTS.
Tenure of Services Contract:
- 3 (Three) months probation period.
- After successful completion of the probation period, based on the performance of the staff and recommendation from the supervisor, the post may be continued till the project’s lifetime.

Gross salary Taka 40,000 per month. 2 days weekend Office time, Annual Leave, Increment & other facilities will be applicable as per 'Recruitment and Human Resource Management Policy' of Breaking the Silence.
