Proven expertise in woven, denim, and outerwear product categories
Strong understanding of AQL standards, technical audits, and quality systems
Proficient in tech pack interpretation, garment construction methods, and machinery handling
Excellent leadership, coordination, and problem-solving abilities
Knowledge of:
Seam strength, SPI (stitches per inch) control, and stitch appearance
Needle and fabric compatibility, seam puckering
Garment fit and tension-related measurement issues
Managing stretch, shrinkage, and distortion in sewing processes
Review tech packs and pre-production samples to assess construction feasibility.
Lead risk analysis and pre-production (PP) meetings, ensuring accurate style setup on production lines.
Guide mechanics on proper machine settings, attachments, folders, needles, and stitch types.
Troubleshoot complex sewing issues such as puckering, seam slippage, and needle damage.
Evaluate sample garments and provide detailed construction feedback.
Support line changeover efficiency by collaborating with the IE and QCO teams.
Oversee inline quality checkpoints and address any technical quality defects.
Analyze defects (e.g., broken or skipped stitches, seam distortion) and ensure effective root cause resolution.
Work closely with QA to achieve first-pass quality and reduce DHU (Defects per Hundred Units).
Conduct operator and inspector training and help develop visual quality standards.
Maintain updated technical files, defect logs, and productivity reports.
Share daily, weekly, and monthly insights on reworks, rejections, and key technical KPIs.
Coordinate with cutting, finishing, QA, and planning teams to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.
