We are seeking a skilled Electrical & Telecom Technician responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of telecommunications and related electrical equipment. The role requires hands-on expertise in power systems, structured cabling, and telecom networks to ensure seamless operations and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform electrical works including installation, modification, repair, and movement of telecommunications equipment per job specifications.
Provide installation and commissioning support for technology products such as electric wiring, cable laying, cable jointing, cathodic protection, ladder racks, structured cabling, fiber optic cabling, AC/DC power systems, GPS, rectifiers, inverters, UPS, and cameras.
Use multimeters and electrical theory to verify power readings, circuit design, and proper operation.
Troubleshoot Media Gateway (MGW) and Soft Switch (SS) systems (ZTE/Huawei), including configuration of H.248, MTP2 link, ISUP trunks, and SS7 circuits.
Analyze route utilization, traffic distribution, ASR, CER, and ACD; execute call tests and routing changes.
Maintain liaison with partner companies regarding network issues.
Update and monitor routing tables as per line manager instructions.
Work under pressure in shifts or regular duties (12-hour shifts), including night duties when required.
Demonstrate understanding of AC/DC telecom power systems and SDH/PDH transmission links.
Produce, review, and analyze various technical reports to ensure operational efficiency.
