Review and interpret supporting documents such as medical reports, income proofs, and proposal forms

Make decisions on standard cases within assigned underwriting authority; escalate complex cases to senior underwriters or reinsurers

Ensure underwriting decisions align with company guidelines, reinsurance manuals, and regulatory compliance
Process Management

Maintain accurate underwriting records and document the rationale for decisions in the underwriting system

Coordinate with medical examiners, diagnostic centers, and third-party vendors for necessary reports and tests

Follow up with sales/support teams to collect pending requirements from clients

Support digitized and automated underwriting initiatives where applicable
Client & Channel Support

Provide clear communication and guidance to sales and operations teams regarding underwriting decisions and requirements

Respond to queries from sales channels and policyholders on underwriting-related matters
Risk Compliance

Ensure underwriting practices comply with internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines

Assist in identifying potential fraud or misrepresentation.
