  • Age between 28 and 45 years.

  • Ability to collaborate with business analysts to gather and analyze ERP requirements.

  • Demonstrated expertise in ERP implementation and providing post-launch support.

  • Strong understanding of networking, server management, and cloud services.

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, communication skills, and team leadership experience.

  • Knowledge of disaster recovery strategies and security best practices.

  • Capable of delivering technical support and resolving issues efficiently.

  • Familiarity with IT infrastructure, networking, operating systems, and cloud technologies.


Responsibilities & Context

The Assistant Manager – IT oversees and manages the IT infrastructure, systems, and digital solutions across the factory and its affiliated business sites in Bangladesh. This role ensures seamless operation of all IT functions supporting production, compliance, administration, and security. The incumbent also drives digital transformation initiatives, safeguards data and systems, and aligns IT services with organizational goals. This position reports directly to the Group IT Director.


Job Responsibilities

1. IT Infrastructure & Systems Management

  • Manage the factory’s IT network, servers, and hardware to guarantee high availability.

  • Oversee preventive maintenance and disaster recovery preparedness.

  • Support operational systems such as ERP, HRMS, TMIS, MES, attendance, security systems, and other IT hardware solutions.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • System uptime ≥ 99.5%

  • 100% scheduled backups executed successfully

  • 90% of infrastructure issues resolved within SLA


2. User Support & Helpdesk Management

  • Lead the IT support team to promptly resolve user issues related to hardware, software, and network access.

  • Maintain a robust ticketing system and knowledge base for efficient troubleshooting.

KPIs:

  • First response time ≤ 30 minutes (average)

  • 90% ticket resolution within 24 hours

  • User satisfaction score ≥ 85%


3. Cybersecurity & Data Protection

  • Implement and enforce cybersecurity measures including firewall, antivirus, and user access controls.

  • Ensure data protection, encryption, and reliable backup recovery procedures.

  • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and disaster recovery drills.

KPIs:

  • Zero critical security incidents

  • 100% endpoint security coverage

  • One successful disaster recovery drill per quarter


4. ERP & Factory System Integration

  • Ensure smooth functioning and user access to ERP and related systems.

  • Provide first-level support and coordination for ERP issues and upgrades.

  • Train users and maintain data integrity.

KPIs:

  • ERP uptime ≥ 99%

  • 95% ERP ticket resolution within SLA

  • ERP user adoption rate ≥ 90%


5. IT Compliance & Governance

  • Maintain accurate IT asset inventory, licensing, and audit records.

  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, BEPZA regulations, and external audits.

KPIs:

  • IT asset accuracy ≥ 98%

  • Zero major non-conformities in compliance audits

  • 100% documentation updates logged within 24 hours


6. Budget & Vendor Management

  • Prepare and monitor the annual IT budget for the factory.

  • Manage IT vendors and service contracts including hardware, software, and ISPs.

KPIs:

  • Budget variance within ±0.8%

  • Vendor SLA compliance ≥ 90%

  • Procurement lead time ≤ 15 working days


7. Digitalization & Project Implementation

  • Lead IT improvement projects such as ERP rollouts, digital dashboards, automation, and paperless initiatives.

  • Support implementation of IT monitoring, traceability, and compliance systems.

KPIs:

  • Project delivery timeliness ≥ 99% on schedule

  • Annual growth in digitized processes

  • Documented cost and time savings from IT projects
