Job Context
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Director of the Research and Evaluation Department will lead organisational development and research initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong management and institution-building experience, along with a proven record of research and publications in social development and health.

Job Responsibilities
Leadership & Organisational Development

Shape the strategic direction and objectives of the Research and Evaluation Department in alignment with SAJIDA Foundation’s mission and long-term vision.

Build and expand a multidisciplinary research unit under the guidance of its advisory group.

Represent the Foundation at national and international forums.

Recruit, develop, and lead a capable research team to deliver the organisation’s research priorities.

Design and implement internal and external research training programmes to strengthen research capacity.

Establish collaborative research practices that ensure methodological rigour, objectivity, and research integrity.
Fundraising & Partnerships

Mobilise internal and external funding to support research activities.

Develop strategic partnerships with national and international research institutions, universities, and other organisations.

Oversee complex, multi-partner research projects involving different countries and disciplines.

Encourage collaboration across disciplines to strengthen research outcomes.

Leverage professional networks and engage diverse stakeholders to advance organisational goals.
Scientific Leadership

Translate research findings into practical insights that inform policies, programmes, and decision-making.

Establish effective knowledge-sharing systems within SAJIDA Foundation and with external stakeholders.

Develop and lead high-performing interdisciplinary teams while working within resource constraints.
