Additional Requirements

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 1–2 years of field-level experience working with children, preferably in NGO/INGO or community-based programs.

  • Previous experience in child protection, education, or community mobilization will be an advantage.

  • Willingness and flexibility to work extensively in field and community settings.

  • Basic knowledge of child rights and child protection principles.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong facilitation, interpersonal, and community engagement skills, particularly when working with children.

  • Effective communication skills in both Bangla and English.

  • Ability to develop positive relationships and build trust with children, families, and community members.

  • Strong organizational skills with careful attention to documentation and record-keeping.

  • Demonstrates patience, empathy, and a strong commitment to children's wellbeing.

  • Capable of working independently in field environments with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities & Context

Responsibilities

Supervision of Non-Formal Education (NFE) Centres

  • Oversee NFE teachers and ensure smooth day-to-day operation of assigned learning centres.

  • Monitor student attendance, identify children at risk of dropping out, and coordinate with teachers and families to support retention.

  • Assist in organizing teacher coordination meetings and refresher training programs.

Awareness Campaigns & Community Mobilization

  • Facilitate awareness campaigns for factory owners, supervisors and workers on child rights, child labour and employer responsibilities.

  • Conduct sensitization sessions on legal working hours and safe working conditions for adolescent workers aged 14–18.

  • Distribute IEC materials and support community-level awareness and mobilization activities.

  • Conduct age-appropriate sessions for children on hazardous work, Occupational Safety & Health (OSH), and legally compliant workplaces.

  • Engage parents, community leaders and local stakeholders in child protection initiatives.

  • Support birth registration and other activities promoting child rights.

Child Labour Elimination Committee (CLEC) Support

  • Coordinate with tower management to facilitate the formation and effective operation of Tower-Based CLECs.

  • Support monthly CLEC meetings and assist in monitoring child labour-related activities at the tower level.

Monitoring & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of field activities, attendance and project documentation.

  • Prepare and submit regular activity and progress reports to the Project Officer.

  • Assist with field-level data collection for monitoring and evaluation purposes
