Officer – Inventory Control | Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily inventory transactions in the ERP system and coordinate with warehouse teams to investigate and resolve stock discrepancies.

• Monitor inventory levels and stock movements, including excess, shortage, slow-moving, and fast-moving items, while verifying receipts, transfers, adjustments, and returns.

• Conduct regular physical stock counts, expiry inspections, and condition checks at warehouses and stores, ensuring proper documentation of counts, adjustments, investigations, and reconciliations.

• Prepare and circulate daily Goods in Transit (GIT) reports to Operations and Warehouse teams and follow up on pending transactions for timely resolution.

• Perform scheduled cycle counts to match physical inventory with ERP records and ensure compliance with established inventory control procedures.

• Inspect warehouse and storage areas for safety, organization, and process compliance, and work with relevant teams to address discrepancies and operational gaps.

• Assist in the proper closure of GIT transactions and support month-end inventory reconciliation and accounting closing activities.

• Investigate inventory variances, identify root causes, evaluate financial implications, and recommend suitable corrective measures.

• Prepare accurate daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports and submit them to management within the required deadlines.

• Coordinate with Finance, Logistics, IT, Warehouse, Operations, and internal or external audit teams to improve inventory controls, maintain compliance, and support process enhancement initiatives.
