OT Staff

✔ Good communication skills, a responsible attitude, and the ability to work effectively as part of a surgical and healthcare team.

The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting Operation Theatre (OT) activities, ensuring proper patient preparation, assisting the surgical team during procedures, maintaining hygiene and sterilization standards, and ensuring patient and staff safety throughout the surgical process.

Key Responsibilities:

✔ Prepare and ensure the availability of all required OT equipment, surgical materials, instruments, and supplies before scheduled procedures and emergencies.

✔ Receive patients and safely transfer them from the preparation room to the Operation Theatre (OT) while ensuring that they are properly prepared for surgery.

✔ Assist the surgeon and anesthesiologist during surgical procedures by anticipating their requirements and providing the necessary instruments, materials, and support.

✔ Coordinate the safe transfer of patients from the OT to the recovery room after surgery and ensure appropriate postoperative support.

✔ Carry out and/or supervise postoperative OT activities, including cleaning, preparation, and organization of the theatre for the next scheduled surgery or emergency procedure.

✔ Strictly follow and implement OT hygiene, sterilization, aseptic technique, disinfection, and infection-control protocols before, during, and after surgical procedures.

✔ Ensure proper patient safety and staff safety throughout the surgical and postoperative process by following established hospital and OT safety procedures.

✔ Closely follow the instructions and directions of the surgeon and promptly carry out any clinical, procedural, or operational instructions as required.

✔ Maintain proper readiness of the Operation Theatre, surgical instruments, equipment, and essential supplies to support smooth and uninterrupted surgical procedures.

✔ Coordinate with relevant healthcare and OT team members to ensure efficient workflow and effective support during surgical operations.

✔ Perform any other OT-related, patient-care, or operational responsibilities assigned by Management from time to time.
