Plumber, Maintenance Department

• Demonstrated skills in plumbing and sanitary maintenance.

• Proficient in operating and maintaining water pumps.

• Good practical knowledge of plumbing systems and related work.

• Sound understanding of civil maintenance activities.

• Ability to work efficiently on complex projects and perform effectively under pressure.

Job Purpose

• Maintain and repair sanitary plumbing systems, water supply lines, and civil infrastructure.

• Carry out necessary maintenance, repair, and renovation activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect washroom fittings twice daily and prepare maintenance lists.

• Perform civil maintenance work as instructed by the supervisor.

• Ensure regular cleaning and maintenance of water tanks and filters, including timely replacement when necessary.

• Repair and maintain glass doors, sliding doors, windows, drawer locks, door handles, and glass locks.

• Ensure uninterrupted water supply and resolve related maintenance issues at the BRAC Centre.

• Execute plumbing tasks based on approved requisitions and maintenance needs.

• Operate, inspect, and maintain different types of water pumps properly.

• Maintain accurate records and documentation of completed maintenance activities.

Safeguarding Responsibilities

• Help maintain a safe environment for programme participants, visitors, and team members by preventing and addressing harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation, including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA).

• Promote safeguarding policies and ensure compliance with required safeguarding standards.

• Follow established safeguarding reporting procedures and encourage others to report any relevant incidents.
