Education


  • Masters, Post-Graduation degree in Social Science, Anthropology, International Relations, Development Studies, Peace and Conflicts or any other relevant discipline.

Responsibilities & Context

  • Develop localized strategies to achieve project goals and impacts, ensuring efficient project management.
  • Create annual and quarterly work plans, budgets, and updates for the project description and activity plans, ensuring coordination with the Youth & Just Society (YJS) team, Partnership Development (PD) team, and MEAL team of AAB. Maintain a dotted line relationship with ActionAid UK (AAUK) and ActionAid Myanmar (AAM).
  • Provide strong servant leadership by encouraging, supporting, coaching, and mentoring the project team, ensuring capacity building and achieving appropriate results.
  • Oversee monitoring, evaluation, and learning of the project, ensuring detailed and strategic reports are prepared for AAB annual reports and donor reports, as per agreed timelines.
  • Provide regular updates to AAB CO and YGS regarding project implementation, and coordinate with AAM for programmatic synergy when necessary. Act as the secretariat for the PMU and CPSC, and ensure coordinated actions with AAB Cox’s Bazar Leadership Team (CLT) for visibility and branding.
  • Coordinate with the MEAL and Comms team to set up accountability mechanisms and showcase the project.
  • Partnership Management (25% Time)
  • Manage the local partnership with the implementation NGO and target Youth Organizations.
  • Finalize and implement PNGO-level planning, establish a partnership strategy with PNGO, and provide continuous support to achieve expected results in alignment with project objectives and the detailed logical framework.
  • Build synergy with PNGO senior management, ensuring smooth communication and reporting back to both AAB and PNGO senior management on process facilitation, planning, progress, challenges, and ways of working.
  • Ensure the efficient and cost-effective allocation of resources while maintaining the highest quality of implementation, closely working with AAB’s finance and administration focal points for timely project activity implementation.
  • Ensure compliance with AAB and Government of Bangladesh policies, including partnership, procurement, and safeguarding policies, as well as EU guidelines and HRBA and CSP VI of AAB.
  • Organize regular review and reflection meetings with the team and partners to analyze the implementation status and identify areas for improvement.
  • Networking and Advocacy (10%)
  • Develop working relationships with internal and external stakeholders of AAB (e.g., RRRC, UN clusters, sectors, and working groups in Cox’s Bazar, CSOs, youth and volunteer groups, press clubs).
  • Develop strategic relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders at local, district, and national levels.
  • Establish adequate referral linkages for project target groups with appropriate service providers, policymakers, and other stakeholders.
  • Documentation and Reporting (10%)
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, annual, and other program reports, ensuring alignment with project design and donor requirements.
  • Capture evidence of good practices and change stories on a regular basis.
  • Lead activity and process documentation (e.g., ToR, concept papers, RRRC, and NGOAB reporting) alongside team members.
  • Team Building & Management (15%)
  • Foster interpersonal communication within the team and the organization.
  • Strengthen team members’ capacity through continuous support and development.
  • Oversee the planning, supervision, and appraisal of team members and PNGO staff.
  • Coordinate with the PNGO project focal point for overall program management and supervision.
  • Relationships
  • Report directly to the Lead - Youth and Just Society, while maintaining relationships with cross-functional personnel and projects in Cox’s Bazar and Dhaka.
