Education


  • Bachelor/Honors, Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)

Additional Requirements


  • 1 year experience/training in Cardiology or Medicine may be preferred.
  • Punctuality in attendance.
  • Attendance to patients and briefing of seniors on patient condition.
  • Participation at CME meeting.
  • Enhancing clinical and non - invasive knowledge and skills.
  • Record of prompt and timely attendance to patients.

Responsibilities & Context

  • Inpatient Care:
  • Promptly attend to patients in the CCU, step-down CCU, Observation Ward, General Wards, and private cabins.
  • Monitor patient conditions regularly, update records, and escalate any critical issues to senior doctors.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient treatment, progress, and physician instructions.
  • Outpatient Department (OPD):
  • Attend to OPD patients as assigned by the department.
  • Ensure quality consultation and maintain professionalism in all patient interactions.
  • Diagnostic & Technical Proficiency:
  • Assist and actively participate in:
  • Echocardiogram (Echo) sessions
  • Exercise Tolerance Tests (ETT)
  • Holter Monitoring Labs
  • Develop and demonstrate proficiency in handling:
  • Cardiac monitors
  • Defibrillators
  • Ventilators
  • Arterial Blood Gas (ABG) machines
  • Temporary Pacemaker (TPM) systems
  • CPR trolleys and emergency resuscitation tools
  • Academic & Training Involvement:
  • Attend Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs regularly.
  • Participate in departmental academic activities, case presentations, and clinical discussions.
  • Engage in personal and professional development through guided learning and mentoring.
  • Administrative & Miscellaneous Duties:
  • Report to duty punctually and follow assigned duty rosters without fail.
  • Collaborate effectively with nurses, support staff, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Participate in health camps organized by the Diabetic Association of Bangladesh or Ibrahim Cardiac Hospital.
  • Execute any additional tasks or duties assigned by Consultants, Registrars, or the Head of the Department.
