Software Developer (Mid-Level)

 

Requirements

• Strong understanding of software development methodologies, programming languages, frameworks, and related technologies.

• Minimum 4 years of professional experience in core application development using .NET, C#, ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework, extensibility models, routing, model binding, and RESTful Web APIs.

• Practical experience writing SQL queries, stored procedures, and database functions.

• Experience using Git, GitHub, or other source control management tools.

• Proficiency in front-end development frameworks such as Angular or ReactJS.

• Good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and fundamental software engineering principles.

• Familiarity with CI/CD practices for automating software builds and releases will be an added advantage.

• Ability to optimize application deployment and performance using server technologies and related stacks.

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and technical documentation skills.

Job Context

The selected candidate will work collaboratively with a team to develop software solutions for insurance business operations. The ideal candidate should have experience building high-quality applications that meet business requirements. Experience with Insurance Management, ERP, HRM, or Payroll software will be highly preferred.

Job Location: Central Office, Dhaka

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop software solutions from initial requirements through implementation and production deployment.

• Establish and maintain software architecture, design, implementation, configuration management, and coding standards.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, developers, and functional analysts to define functional and technical requirements.

• Estimate project scope, evaluate available approaches, and recommend appropriate technical solutions.

• Review periodic software releases and identify new features that could improve business operations.

• Monitor emerging technology trends and assess their potential value for the organization.

• Prepare clear documentation covering software design, functionality, and deployment procedures.

• Develop and maintain automated test coverage based on platform capabilities and project requirements.

• Establish and maintain continuous build and integration testing processes where applicable, while supporting manual system and integration testing.
