HEED Bangladesh is inviting applications for its TB Control Program under the GFATM project, implemented as a sub-recipient NGO of BRAC in Sylhet, Habiganj, Sunamganj, and Moulvibazar districts.
Prepare monthly work plans in collaboration with the Upazila Health & Family Planning Officer (UHFPO) and District Manager/Area Supervisor.
Maintain effective coordination with UH&FPO, Medical Officer Disease Control (MODC), NGO staff, and other stakeholders.
Ensure proper mapping, planning, and distribution of resources at upazila level.
Track all programmatic and financial activities at the upazila level.
Guide field staff on sample transportation and presumptive referral systems as per SOPs.
Ensure transportation of samples from community to Xpert/Truenat/Microscopy sites.
Ensure treatment initiation of all confirmed TB patients (DS-TB and DR-TB) with support from MODC.
Supervise selection of DOT providers and ensure adherence to Directly Observed Treatment (DOT).
Ensure contact investigation, TB preventive treatment (TPT) enrollment, follow-up, and HIV screening at community level.
Facilitate referral of complicated and DR-TB cases to appropriate health facilities.
Conduct extensive field visits and supervise implementation quality of TB control activities.
Analyze upazila-level data and provide inputs for district-level decision-making.
Identify staff capacity gaps and arrange training, orientation, and job aid support.
Ensure regular availability of drugs and logistics for field workers and laboratories.
Prepare monthly and quarterly performance and financial reports, including e-TB Manager and e-LMIS reporting.
Maintain proper drug and logistics records and indent systems.
Ensure timely, accurate, and complete reporting to BRAC, NTP, and relevant authorities.
Collect, analyze, and submit disease surveillance data (weekly, monthly, quarterly).
Organize community awareness meetings and orientation sessions on TB prevention and treatment.
Ensure private sector mapping of formal and informal providers to improve case referral systems.
Promote community participation in TB case detection and referral systems.
Promote organizational gender policy and support gender equality and women’s empowerment initiatives.
Ensure safeguarding of team members and beneficiaries from abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation.
Act as a focal point for safeguarding awareness and implementation within the team.
Follow safeguarding reporting procedures and encourage compliance among staff.
Reduction in TB-related morbidity and mortality.
Effective implementation of project activities.
Improved TB case notification including child TB and DR-TB cases.
Effective monitoring of DOT implementation.
Accurate and timely recording, reporting, and dissemination of TB data.
Weekly, monthly, and quarterly disease reporting as per agreement.
Submission of additional reports to BRAC and National Tuberculosis Program (NTP) as required.
Willingness to relocate or transfer anywhere based on project needs.
