  Experience Requirements

  • 1–2 years of relevant professional experience in Price Verification, Procurement/Purchase, Commercial Operations, Retail Operations, Market Research, Merchandising, or a related position.

Ziska Pharmaceuticals Limited, a reputed pharmaceutical company in Bangladesh, is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Jr. Officer/Officer – Price Verification & Confirmation for its newly launched venture, Fair Price Super Market. The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate and competitive product pricing through regular market surveys, competitor price analysis, vendor verification, and local market monitoring.

Job Location: Shofipur, Gazipur

Key Responsibilities

• Verify and validate product selling prices at Fair Price Super Market in accordance with approved pricing policies and prevailing market conditions.
• Conduct regular price surveys across competitor super shops, retail outlets, local markets, and other relevant sales channels.
• Gather, compare, and analyze prices of similar products from major competitors and local market sources.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to verify current purchase prices, discounts, promotional offers, trade schemes, and other relevant commercial terms.
• Develop and regularly update a database containing competitor prices, vendor prices, and market price information for key products.
• Identify significant price variations between Fair Price Super Market, competitors, suppliers, and local markets and report findings to management.
• Coordinate with Procurement/Purchase, Commercial, Operations, and Store teams to ensure accurate and timely price verification and confirmation.
• Assist in reviewing and recommending selling prices, promotional pricing, and price adjustments based on market trends and approved business policies.
• Verify promotional offers, discounts, special pricing, and other commercial campaigns before implementation to ensure accuracy.
• Conduct regular physical market visits to collect and validate current product pricing through structured market surveys.
• Ensure the accuracy and reliability of collected pricing information through proper cross-checking, comparison, and validation.
• Maintain organized records of vendor quotations, competitor pricing, market survey findings, price comparisons, and approved price revisions.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports covering price verification, competitor analysis, market surveys, and pricing trends.
• Identify and report unusual price fluctuations, pricing errors, discrepancies, and other irregularities for management review and necessary corrective action.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of company pricing strategies, vendor information, commercial terms, and other sensitive business data.
• Perform any other price verification, market research, commercial support, or related responsibilities assigned by management.
