A.K. Khan & Company Ltd. is one of the oldest private sector organizations in Bangladesh.
Mr. Abul Kasem Khan, popularly known as A. K. Khan, established the company in Chittagong, in 1945, after the Second World War.
Within a decade, A.K. Khan & Company Ltd. became a leading industrial establishment. A. K. Khan established industries in Shipping, Textiles, Jute, Plywood, and Heavy Electrical Goods: as well as in financial institutions such as Banking and Insurance.
