angladesh Army University of Science and Technology (BAUST) is a private university sponsored by the Bangladesh Army Welfare Trust. It was established by the Bangladesh Army on 15 February 2015 at Saidpur Cantonment and officially inaugurated on the same day by the Hon’ble Minister of Cultural Affairs of Bangladesh.
The university was founded with the aim of extending access to quality technical education in remote areas of the country.
BAUST received approval to commence academic activities from the Ministry of Education and the University Grants Commission (UGC) on 17 February 2015. It began its academic journey with four departments—CSE, EEE, ME, and A&S—under three faculties.
