Bangladesh China Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCCI) – a leading bilateral Chambers having approval by the Ministry of Commerce, Government of Bangladesh, to deal with the business issues and facilitating Chinese trade, commerce and investment in Bangladesh since 2003. BCCCI is currently serving more than 700 members out of which around 500 are Chinese enterprises. BCCCI works closely with different government authorities and bodies in Bangladesh and China such as Ministry of Commerce, CCPIT Headquarters (China Council for the Promotion of International Trade), BIDA (Bangladesh Investment Development Authority), BEZA (Bangladesh Economic Zone Authority), BEPZA (Bangladesh Export Processing Zone Authority), NBR (National Board of Revenue), Bangladesh Bank, Local Government bodies, BIAC (Bangladesh International Arbitration Centre) and organizations for addressing issues related to doing business in Bangladesh by the Chinese business communities. BCCCI addresses issues on behalf of its members in the dialogue of NBR on National Budget every year. BCCCI serves as ‘One Stop Service Centre’ for any Chinese investor in Bangladesh by providing access to required information and services making available to them. Other major services of BCCCI include, but are not limited to, regularly hosting Chinese business delegations, organizing seminars and dialogues for sharing need-based knowledge and experiences of both the countries, building capacity of Bangladeshi business community through organizing Chinese language learning programs and participating in different trade shows, road shows, exhibitions and trade promotional activities both in China and Bangladesh, awareness building of Chinese business community on Bangladesh market potentialities and benefits of investing in Bangladesh, conducting studies on different issues and BCCCI publications on trade relations and development partnership.
