Bangladesh Thalassemia Foundation (BTF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting thalassemia patients across the country. Established in 2002 by patients, families, and volunteers, it began as a support group and later expanded into treatment and awareness activities. The foundation is registered under the Ministry of Social Welfare and has been an active member of the Thalassemia International Federation (TIF) since 2003. BTF aims to improve the quality of life of thalassemia patients through proper treatment, regular transfusions, and supportive care. It also works closely with pediatricians, hematologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient management. The organization actively promotes awareness to reduce the burden of thalassemia in Bangladesh.
