Dak Diye Jai (DDJ), a non-government, non profitable development organization, which was established in December 10, 1982 at the village Char Baleswar of Balipara Union under Zianagar upazila of Pirojpur district. Balipara Union is located on the bank of the river Baleswar and the river Katcha flows by the eastern side of the Union. The Union is approximately 350 km off from Dhaka and nearer to Sundarbans. In early 1980, the only communication was motor launch and the major internal communication used to be the country boats. Majority of the people of the Union were the farmers, fishermen, boatmen, Bawalis and resource extractors from the Sundarbans forest. From the union the organization started its journey through implementation of awareness-building activities among the rural poor aiming to their holistic development.
