Lal Teer’s extensive research and development program throughout the country which ensures regional adaptation is its greatest strength, as it brings quality seeds to farmers with the necessary accurate information. So far the company has commendable innovations in respect of crop variety development and improved scientific production practices. Lal Teer is not only contributing to the improvement of nutrition, food security, farmer empowerment, and women empowerment in Bangladesh, but the company is also poised to do its part in order to help mitigate the imminent effects of climate change. Due to its vast farmer ecosystem, many international agencies, such as USAID, SIDA, the govt. of the Netherlands, World Vegetable Center, CARE, CIMMYT, DFID, IFC, IRRI, Katalyst, SwissContact, etc. have worked with and are working with Lal Teer in technology transfer and capacity building.
